Procedure
Although the TrichoScience procedure employs leading edge science in
cell replication, the mechanics of the procedure are relatively simple.
About 10-20 healthy hair follicles
are extracted from the back of a patient’s scalp. Certain cells from these follicles are then
isolated and replicated in a laboratory through the TrichoScience proprietary hair cell replication procedure. The replicated cells are then injected back into the patient’s bald scalp. Laboratory models have shown that when these types of cells are injected back into the skin; they rejuvenate damaged hair follicles and induce the formation of new hair follicles.
While long-term research on this technology is still under development, it is expected that these injections will have a long- lasting effect on hair growth.
